The composer and architect Iannis Xenakis would have turned one hundred years old on 29.5.2022. Throughout his life, the performances of his highly complex orchestral works, such as Metastasis, have caused a sensation. The great importance of the Messiaen pupil for the music of the twentieth century is undisputed, as is his influence on subsequent generations. As a long-time assistant to the architect Le Corbusier, he also supervised important building projects worldwide.
